Just saw the William Phillips property

Just got back from Etowah/St Clair county and got a chance to see the William Phillips and Zachariah Phillips land. Great trip overall. I was able to actually photograph the likely area that the Sweet Gum tree lived,
and the little Canoe Creek,

And my grandmother Anna (Copeland) Phillips (died Anna Sanders) grave!

I’m now going to try to find a way to buy another gravestone for her. Still, we now have a timeline for William and Sarah:

  1. James, I was searching for Thomas White info and happened upon your blog. I'm stuck at Thomas. You mention his birthplace as Tenn, I have a copy of the 1880 census showing where TJ claims his Dad is from VA and Mom is from Tenn.If you have any info your willing to share about Thomas I would appreciate it.Michael White – Evan and Nancy's GGrandson

  2. Sorry this took so long to reply, my family file for the Whites is pretty barren. They (apparently) live in Arkansas for a time before ending up in Jefferson County, Alabama. send me your email address and I'll send you what I have!James
